Press Releases |
Austin, TX - March 20, 2006 In addition to providing Mobi-C clinical study details, www.SecondGenerationDisc.com serves as a destination for patients with basic questions regarding cervical anatomy, degenerative disc disease, disc history, and the future of artificial disc technology. The site will also provide a surgeon locator for patients to find physicians participating in the United States clinical evaluation. Second generation discs evolved from first generation disc designs, making improvements to implant mobility and ease of surgical insertion. The Mobi-C’s polyethylene insert provides controlled mobility that respects the instantaneous center of rotation and closely replicates anatomic movement, allowing for six degrees of freedom. Mobi-C also allows one-step implantation, which significantly simplifies the surgical technique. The Mobi-C clinical study will follow nearly 600 patients for two years and includes up to 20 medical centers throughout the United States. About LDR Spine |
